Lewis Flintham
Lewis is a Masters student at the University of Exeter, where his current work focuses on social evolution with a particular emphasis on the social insects. While the dynamics of advanced social insect colonies such as ants can be fascinating, Lewis' work primarily relates to those primitively social species which toe the line of what we consider to be an individual replicator and have the potential to provide real insights into the processes governing the arisal of sociality. Lewis’ interests also extend beyond sociality to behaviour and evolution in a wider context, with previous involvement in projects in areas ranging from sex allocation to cognition.
