Dr. Richard Mankin

Richard Mankin has been a Research Entomologist at the US Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Center for Medical, Agricultural, and Veterinary Entomology in Gainesville, Florida for 41 years. His research focuses on detecting and controlling hidden insect infestations. He also works on questions about how insects use their senses of smell, vibrations, and sound in communication. He is President of the Foundation for Science and Disability and has mentored over 40 students during his career.
