Dr. Nadine Bongaerts-Duportet
I am a synthetic biologist fascinated by engineering life at the smallest scale and designing cells with new functions. I was born in the Netherlands, trained as biotechnologist at the TU Delft and Leiden University, and moved to Paris to pursue my Ph.D. in synthetic biology & microbiology at INSERM and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research. For more than 8 years, I am also actively trying to bridge science with business and society. As a board member of Hello Tomorrow I am helping deep tech startups with their journey to bring laboratory inventions to the market. And through my company Science Matters, I want to support scientists and organisations in communicating research to the public.
