Dr. Jennifer Hu, PhD

Jennifer Hu received her PhD in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley-UCSF at the Zev Gartner lab, which uses tissue engineering and next-generation sequencing approaches to deconstruct and reconstruct the cell-driven processes that build and maintain tissue structure. Her research used self-organizing mammary epithelial micro-tissues or organoids to study how cells’ physical properties underlie their capacity to sort into organized tissue structures. She previously received her S.B. in Engineering Sciences at Harvard University.
