Candice Cheung

Candice completed her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering (BME) from Georgia Institute of Technology and M.Eng in BME at University of South Carolina and is pursuing her PhD in Biomedical Engineering at University of South Carolina. In the lab, she is conducting research on the use of drug-loaded biomaterials for tissue regeneration after muscle atrophy.

She is passionate about inclusivity, science education and communication. Joining the Biocord server’s moderation and administrative team in August 2020, she helped co-found Biocord Network as its Chief Administrative Officer and strives to bridge the gap between scientists and students.
